I am curious what other coaches have done to with their post players to try to free up some space in the lane. For example I have a player right now that I would prefer to keep in the post area and I am trying to figure out how to coach her to post up in the midpost when the ball is on her side. However, what do you have her do when the ball is on the opposite side? Do you have her step to short corner to try and stretch the defense? Do you have her step up to the high post? Do you have her hunt for pin screens anytime someone cuts? How do I get her defender to stop sitting in the paint and contesting any passes or drives into that area? I am curious to here what other coaches have done with their posts using the read and react.
